Pastor Don McClure

Pastor Don McClure came to Christ at a Billy Graham Crusade in Los Angeles in the 1960s. He sensed the call of God upon his life to follow Jesus Christ and prepare for ministry.  Soon thereafter he met Alan Redpath who invited Don and his wife Jean to England where he attended Capernwray Bible School. Upon returning to California, Don continued his studies at Talbot Seminary in La Mirada. He served for four years as an assistant pastor to Chuck Smith at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa. Next, he and Jean moved to Lake Arrowhead to plant and pastor Calvary Lake Arrowhead and to establish Calvary Bible College in Twin Peaks. Next, Don pioneered and pastored Calvary Chapel Redlands for 11 years. In 1991, he moved to San Jose with a heart to plant a number of churches in the Bay Area. To date, there are eight fellowships grown from Calvary Chapel San Jose. In September 2002, the McClures responded to a request from Chuck Smith to return to Calvary Costa Mesa to serve as an assistant pastor.  In 2004, Don guided Calvary Laguna Beach through a difficult time. Now, Don and Jean travel the globe to serve churches, schools and missionaries by teaching at conferences, retreats, Bible colleges, intern programs, church services, and any other door God opens.  Don and Jean have been married since 1968 and have three sons and seven grandchildren.
